Checkpoint A WORLD LANGUAGES EXAM
INFORMATION
Please do not book vacations on or before the date of the exam
Students who are eligible to take the exam for high school credit are 8th graders who have done the following:
1. Completed 2 years of World Language instruction Beg 1 and Beg 2 (7th and 8th grade) OR
2. 8th graders who are enrolled in one year of an accelerated World Language class. At the middle school level, it would be Spanish I or above. OR
3. 8th graders who are enrolled in a Home Language Arts or Heritage Language Arts Class.
Exams will be administered in May (Speaking) and June (Written). Eligible students will report for the Checkpoint A exam on ____________________, at 8:00 AM. This will be the only opportunity for students to take this exam and receive high school credit for coursework done in a middle school class.
Please note: Make-up exams are not available for this test.
